Spring Has Entered the Chat
As we ease into spring here in Bozeman, we’re embracing the season in all its unpredictability. A little sunshine, a little snow, and a whole lot to look forward to. After a mild winter and a few surprise storms, we’re more than ready for longer days, warmer weather, and any excuse to get outside.
In the store, spring has officially arrived. Think fresh pops of color, playful prints, fruit-forward everything, and plenty of florals. It’s a shift we look forward to every year, and it’s already bringing a new kind of energy to the shelves.
With that, we’re back with another R.E.P.O.R.T. A snapshot of what our team is currently loving. From what we’re reading and eating to what we’re recommending and treating ourselves to, each letter highlights a few of our spring favorites.
Whether you’re leaning into cozy days or chasing the first signs of sunshine, we hope this inspires you to enjoy the season in your own way.
Reading
As the days get a little longer, we’re finding ourselves reaching for books that feel fresh, thoughtful, and easy to get lost in.
Linds just finished The Correspondent by Virginia Evans and loved it. We’ve been hearing this one is popping up in book clubs everywhere, and it’s easy to see why. Told through letters and emails, it follows a woman in her 70s reflecting on life, relationships, and second chances. It’s thoughtful, a little unexpected, and we’ve also heard the audiobook is especially good.
Annie is currently reading Theo of Golden by Allen Levi. It centers around a mysterious stranger who shows up in a small town, gathering people’s stories in exchange for something meaningful. Each chapter introduces a new character, and the overall feel is warm, reflective, and centered on connection and community.
Sandra, our resident artist, is reading The Art Thief by Michael Finkel, which feels very on brand. It’s a true story about a man who stole hundreds of pieces of art across Europe, not to sell, but simply to live with and admire. It’s equal parts fascinating and unbelievable, and definitely one of those stories you keep thinking about after you put it down.
Eating
This season, we’re mixing go-to favorites with a few new spots around Bozeman that we’ve been excited to try. It’s the time of year for something fresh, a little indulgent, and maybe a patio moment when the weather cooperates.
Jennieven is treating herself to pastries from Vienne, a team favorite. It’s a French bakery by day and a wine bar by night, and honestly, you can’t go wrong either way. Everything feels a little special, whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee and croissant or lingering a bit longer.
Andrea is checking out Tres Toros Tacos & Tequila in downtown Bozeman. It’s just a short walk from the store, which makes it even more tempting. Tacos and margaritas are always a good idea, especially as we start to ease into warmer evenings.
Traci is loving Khanom Thai, which is quickly becoming a new staple in town. The menu is full of authentic Thai dishes, and it’s one of those places you want to keep going back to so you can try a little bit of everything.
Playing
Lately, we’ve been pressing play on a mix of new music, nostalgic games, and easy listens that give our brains a little break.
Tessa has the new album from Harry Styles on repeat. If you happen to know anyone with extra tickets, please send them her way. Those ticket queues were no joke. Either way, we’re just happy he’s back and giving us a fresh soundtrack for spring.
Lori B and a few others on the team are learning Mahjong. It seems like it’s popping up everywhere lately, and we’re officially on board. Equal parts strategy, luck, and social time, we’re excited to keep playing and getting better.
Lori P has been listening to the Good Hang Podcast. It’s her go-to when she needs a break from the news cycle or just wants something light and entertaining. Great guests, easy conversations, and a solid reset when your feed feels like too much.
Obsessing Over
From style inspiration to seasonal traditions and new arrivals in store, here’s what we can’t stop talking about right now:
Emma is obsessing over Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s style. Whether you’ve watched Love Story or not, you’ve probably seen this aesthetic everywhere. Think chic, simple, and effortlessly put together. It’s giving minimalist, curated, quiet luxury. We’re fully on board and definitely keeping it in mind as we head into spring closet cleanouts.
Dena is all in on NCAA March Madness. As one of our resident sports fans, she’s been keeping up with all the action as the tournament winds down and the competition heats up. None of our brackets survived for long, but we’re still having fun cheering on the teams making their way through. And as always, go Cats!
Eleni is obsessing over Boy Smells, and we are right there with her. We’re so excited to be carrying this line in store. The scents, the packaging, all of it just works. It’s one of those collections that feels perfect for spring, with something for every mood. Definitely worth stopping in to smell for yourself.
Recommending
From new local spots to fresh finds in store, here are a few things we’re loving lately and think you will too:
Abby F is recommending Fat Toads Farm Pantry, one of the newest additions to the north side. It’s essentially an everyday farmers market, with everything sourced from Montana farmers and makers. We love the mission behind it and the focus on supporting a strong local food system. It’s definitely on our list to check out ASAP.
Georgia is loving Osea, a line we recently started carrying in store. Their skin and body care is inspired by the ocean and made with seaweed and other nutrient-rich ingredients. It’s clean, refreshing, and feels like a perfect reset for spring.
Lisa is recommending Kobo Candles, and these are anything but your average candle. The fresh scents are inspired by florals, herbs, and garden favorites. The best part is the packaging. Each box is embedded with seeds that match the scent, so once you’re done burning the candle, you can plant it and grow your own. Equal parts thoughtful and fun. Stop by and check them out.
Treating Ourselves
With the shift in seasons, we’re leaning into little ways to reset, recharge, and enjoy a bit of everyday indulgence.
Michelle is treating herself to a new journal from Saturday Sundae, another line we carry in store. The brand is all about playful, feel-good pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously. Think bright colors, fun designs, and the perfect excuse to start fresh this season.
Emma is unwinding at Umvelt, right in the heart of downtown Bozeman. With saunas, steam rooms, and pools, it’s the kind of spot that makes it easy to slow down for a bit and recharge.
Lindsey is treating herself to a coffee from The Little Pink Coffee Trailer. Their seasonal drinks are always creative and worth the stop, and it’s quickly become a go-to when you need a little pick-me-up.
Spring, We’re Ready
We hope this spring edition of the Heyday R.E.P.O.R.T. gave you a little inspiration for the season ahead. As the days get longer and we start to see more sunshine, it feels like the perfect time to refresh routines, try something new, and enjoy a few simple pleasures along the way.
If you’re out and about, we’d love for you to stop by and see what’s new in store. There’s a lot we’re excited about, with even more on the way. Until then, happy spring from all of us at Heyday!
