eCommerce Manager

The eCommerce Manager creates and executes the strategic roadmap for the E-Commerce site including site changes, updates, merchandising needs and analytics; and the day-to-day execution and overseeing order fulfillment.

This position will report directly to the Owner; partnering and informing eCommerce growth strategy, and consulting the Owner with solution-based needs to support the online store. The eCommerce Manager owns all seasonal site changes, landing page design and development, online inventory merchandising including product photography, product copywriting, and appropriate, on-brand site organization for an effortless online shopping experience.

The eCommerce Manager is responsible for managing the online inventory and the integrity of physical inventory. All order fulfillment, with the help of the fulfillment coordinator, is the responsibility of the eCommerce Manager, adhering to established brand standards: professional gift wrap, personalized notes and top tier customer service. eCommerce Manager will report monthly to the senior and sales team on site analytics, sales and key performance indicators for the online store.

Job Responsibilities


    1. Ownership of E-Commerce roadmap and strategy; oversight of execution
      1. Create and execute seasonal promotions and sales
    2. Present monthly site analytics and site performance to senior and sales team
    3. Oversee and execute the following efforts on heydaybozeman.com:
      1. Develop and execute all online messaging to align with promotional and marketing plan
      2. Update homepage content, promotions and events
      3. Ensure aesthetic cohesiveness
      4. Execute order fulfillment in a timely, organized and accurate manner


    1. Create, update and maintain all product pages to ensure fresh, saleable inventory at all times
      1. In partnership with Head Buyer and Owner, determine product assortment to be listed; informing the Purchasing Manager for proper SKU creation
      2. Direct and execute new, creative product photography to best display product assortment
      3. Photograph product in a manner that aligns with brand aesthetic
      4. Write detailed copy for all online inventory including alt tags on images, meta descriptions and SKU entry
      5. Create and merchandise all curated collections and seasonal gift guides
      6. Hide items appropriately due to inventory shortages
      7. Understanding of all aspects of the Shopify + RICS Integration

    1. Update website pages based on seasons and promotional plan
      1. Including home page, landing pages, event page, and team page
      2. Work collaboratively with the Marketing Coordinator for content (homepage + etc)
    2. Oversee and help execute order fulfillment in a timely, organized and accurate manner
      1. Effectively manage the Fulfillment Coordinator(s)
      2. Package, write thank you notes, organize in-store pickups, and deliver to Post Office or schedule a pickup
      3. Gift wrap orders when requested
      4. During peak seasons, manage the fulfillment process and seek additional assistance as needed


    1. Management of all online physical inventory; performing physical counts when necessary
    2. Responsible for all online customer service issues and inquiries
    3. Thorough knowledge of POS and Shopify


    1. Utilize site analytics and customer insights to identify site opportunities; present new opportunities to Owner to enhance site experience and drive conversions
    2. Lead with resolution on issues related to site features and development
    3. Remain up-to-date on industry trends in eCommerce and customer online experience

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design and/or Photography preferred; or equivalent experience
    2. Experience in eCommerce and Shopify
    3. Competent with Adobe Creative Suite; specifically Photoshop + Lightroom + Bridge
    4. Experience in product photography; ability to operate a professional camera
    5. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at one time
    6. Critical attention to detail
    7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    8. Flexible, nimble self-starter with an optimistic attitude
