Favorite thing about Valentine’s Day: Most people might say it’s just a silly holiday, but I think that’s what makes it so great! It’s about showing and receiving love with both your friends and family. There’s just something so special about spreading that joy. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy some cheesy love puns?

Mini traditions: Every year, I like to send out simple cards to all my girlfriends and my family members. And, of course, I eat lots of heart-shaped chocolates and candy!

Favorite thing about Valentine’s Day: It’s a reminder of the importance of telling people why you appreciate them. I tell my friends and family I love them every day, but I don’t always get the chance to tell them just how much. Tell your loved ones what they mean to you. The colors are also a big part of what makes this time of year so fun. I can’t help but be excited with all the pinks, reds, and hearts everywhere!

Mini traditions: Growing up, my mom would always give me a cute card and would take me out for a self-care appointment like getting our nails done. My dad would always have a stuffed animal and chocolates waiting for me when I woke up in the morning. It was so cute!

Favorite thing about Valentine’s Day: It’s a day to consciously think about the people you love and to show your gratitude towards them. Day to day, it’s hard to recognize all the little things people do for you, so it’s a good time to just think about those favors and appreciations. 

Mini traditions: I just like to give small gifts of love. It’s usually just something simple, like an “oh, I saw this and it made me think of you” gift. It really is the thought that counts.

Go-To Galentine Gift: Sugarfina candies are my favorite. They always have great Valentine’s themed candy, like Sugar Lips. They are the most delicious sugary treat in flavors of watermelon, cherry, and strawberry, and make the perfect gift for my gal pals.

Favorite thing about Valentine’s Day: Appreciating and showing love for the special people in your life is always important and a valuable part of the day. But I think it’s also the time to show that same gratitude and love towards ourselves. We can all be tough on ourselves, but you have to remind yourself that you’re doing an amazing job. Go buy yourself a treat as a thank-you to yourself! You deserve it!

Mini traditions: I love going to Brigade for a celebratory dinner with my friends, and then going home and ending the day with some self-care. My dog, Sage, has an adorable Valentine’s Day bandana she wears to mark the occasion. And, of course, she gets a special Valentine's treat, from her mama.

Mini traditions: One of my favorite traditions is trying a new recipe from one of my many cookbooks. It’s a special occasion, so it’s a good excuse to branch out a bit. I also like to write letters to all my valentines.
